Alhamdulillah, I am happy to announce that our report, Quranic Food: A study of the of the foods and drinks mentioned in the Quran, is ready to be published.

We have made it available as a free PDF download, grab your report now here!

Introduction:
“O mankind! Eat of that which is lawful and good on the earth.” [The Quran, 2:168]

I have often thought about making a list of foods mentioned in the Quran. I knew that dates were mentioned a lot. And so were grapes, but what else?

I couldn’t find any comprehensive Quranic food guides on the internet. I decided to make my own.

This is the product of many days of work. I offer it as it is and make no guarantee that it is perfect. If you find a funny mistake or if you think I have left something out, please get up and visit us at quranclub.net to type us a comment there.
I have separated the foods into three categories; drinks, plants and animals.

I have ordered the contents of each category by frequency of their mentioning in the Quran. The one mentioned most is at the beginning.

In some places two items have the same number of mentions. I have put first the one that was mentioned nearer to the beginning of the Quran.

There is a summary on the next page that you can use as a reference, for example for when you want to make a shopping list.

I don’t want to keep you from the awesomeness within any longer. Turn the wheel.

Hello! I'm Larissa; I'm a (currently) non-Muslim hijabi living in the States, and I have a question for the ladies about long hair and hijabs.

I ramble often. Sometimes I even make sense. )

I told you I ramble. ^_^ Anyway, thank you all for your time, and for any advice you can give me!

In the Name Of God The Beneficent The Merciful

The year 1431 of the Islamic "Hijri" calender just begun. I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a happy new Hijri year. May Allah bless us all and fulfill our wishes of peace, development, prosperity, success, great health and bring us all his gifts and blesses. Inshallah it will be a great and fruitful year for all of you. Lets start the change today – take the time to know yourself better – identify your weaknesses and commit to eliminate them. Assess your strengths and use them for meaningful pursuits. All in all, invest the effort to embark on a personal transformation that can help you, your families, the world around you and can make your relationship with your Creator even stronger. Because if you don't take the step, Allah may not help you. May Allah (SWT) bless the Ummah and accept our duas. Aameen
